It was extremely interesting the way it was presented, passionately. I then decided to invest in myself as I was already in the process. I have been reading books on self development & finances. Just about all the books from Robert Kiyosaki, John Maxwell, etc. All of them kept telling me one thing, find yourself a mentor, someone you can learn from. I’m in the corporate world and have been greatly successful in my engineering career & earned respect from my peers & seniors but I was not getting ahead financially. I remember one week I was supposed to go away but the nature of the project I was leading I decided to cancel my trip, that really made me realize that the more responsibility I took the more I’m going to be away from home. That was one of the days I decided to start looking at how I can enjoy my life successfully not just financially as well as my relationships. I then went on Hannes’s Business & Marketing Development Workshop in Pretoria, that was life changing, the Firewalk & breaking the arrow made me realize how changing my perception will change my reality. I am supposed to be on week 5 with my mentoring course but I find myself so hooked in my research about success & personal growth through your lessons that I have created a book where I save every lesson & have shared one particular lesson partially with my team at work, six people needs. I’m now in week 9, I know you told us not to spear ahead & be patient, believe me the first 4 weeks was mind boggling as I thought about the assignments in traffic, during my meetings. All I can say this has made me realize that with time & people like you I will be a success for as long as I take full responsibility. To date I have done all my assignments, committed an hour to reading my lessons sometimes reading a lesson twice to three times. I go back to previous lessons to refer & understand different contexts. I’m now in the process of re-evaluating my house in Durban to see if it’s worth keeping, bought off plan & waiting for another property in Midrand where I have put an offer. The Midrand property is already re-evaluated at more than R200 000 of the offer I’ve put in. I hope to progress more in a year’s time as my wife believes we will definitely be in a better position. I’m making in roads in improving my relationship with my wife & have made an effort to spend more time with my son & my daughter. My wife could not believe I took the three of us to the movies & watched what is characteristically not my type of movie but a kids movie.
