I was excited to start the mentorship programme and believed that it was going to help me change my life. This has been the case, just not in the way I expected. The first lesson I have learned about myself, is that I was not as ready for the lessons as I thought. It has taken and still takes discipline to read, think about and apply the lessons. I have found that in many cases a week is not long enough for me to digest and implement the lessons to an acceptable standard before moving forward. This is not a problem for me however because the second lesson I am learning is that if something is worth doing, then it is worth doing properly. For too long I have been focussed on the end result only and on trying to find the short cuts to success. Changing myself and developing my character is far more fulfilling and I know that only by possessing the right character and mind set will I be able to achieve and keep hold of my goals. I have often dreamt of success and changing my life but have then been too lazy to apply the principles in order to turn dreams into reality. Thanks to your encouragement and straight talking, I have made changes. I have paid off my credit card debt and am now working on paying off my mortgage. I have moved into the top 1% of performers in my company and am enjoying the respect that this brings. I am now working on business plans to generate passive income and more surplus. I have become more focused and positive. I no longer allow myself to feel sorry for myself and take responsibility for my attitudes. I now look for what is right and for solutions. Instead of trying to find fault with others or trying to find the catch, because I used to believe that someone is always going to try and cheat me, I am learing to evaluate deals and situations in an emotionally neutral state. The main benefit of this process for me has been the release I now feel from a preconceived idea of my future. It is both exciting and scary to take responsibility for my decisions. At the same time it is liberating to know that I can choose how I proceed. I am not destined to stay where I am. It is down to me.
