A goal being reached is a foot surely planted on the next step of the ladder to abundant life. I started by reading the book “Rich Dad, poor Dad” and heard from others in the Free State who started investing in properties by reading Kyosaki’s books and buying properties for free. Still I could not figure out exactly how to get the motivated sellers. Because I was involved in other things like network marketing, my husband who is inclined to be negative to all money schemes, grew cautious of me doing anything other than my job which I was trained for. He believed I should work for a salary while I was still scheming how to get to the business quadrant of the rich dad advisors. I saw that one could register yourself a practice with the medical council, send in accounts to the medical aids or patients for work you do in operating theatre, and get much more by cutting out the Radiologist. I even went to UK to work there for a year, looking at opportunities and how their system works, but there I was just working for the state. Back in South Africa I registered with Hannes’s mentoring course in February 2006, did the property investment course, but just kept on looking at properties, working out what can work for me. The flats here in Bethlehem got in the market, selling within a day or two, and for double the amount I could afford just to break even. Another thing was the resolution I had deep ingrained that you don’t rejoice over other people’s losses or try to enrich yourself through their downfall. This obstacle, my belief that a person in the process of losing everything, should be helped rather than exploited, now was being faced. I bought an ebook: “Fulfill your financial destiny” from Communion with God ministries, which is a great help in sorting my issues about what wealth is. I started to see the whole picture by looking into the process on the property investment site, and I realized that those people in the process of losing property and their good name, are so relieved to see that there is an escape to a new start. Meanwhile I daydreamed and tried to figure out ways I could get bad properties in under valued areas and turn them into money streams. I am still not doing it, but: I bought the advanced property course DVD’s, watched it with my skeptical husband, and suddenly he has a change of heart. Much changed in our house. Now he has much respect for Hannes and tells me not to get behind with my lessons. I have read about the roll in many times, tried to convince my husband to refinance our home while he thought it safer not to have any debt. Now suddenly I am winning him as a partner, even if he is doing very little. I know nothing will be able to stop our train once all the life endowments and other securities can be used as backup for the free properties we will be getting. I am struggling a bit with my goals, which may seem out of line with our life at present, but I have seen wonders in the past, and I know that my visions can become real at the right time. When the opportunities come, I will recognize them, and know what to do.
