I’ve been trying to think of what I have done in the past that could qualify to be part of my success story. The more I thought about the more I came to realize that my success story is just about to begin. Today I’m doing something different to what I do every day because I have learnt that what you do today is what you’ll do the rest of your life. It’s not what you do tomorrow but what you do today. For the last four weeks, every day I have been saying to myself “I must write my success story but I’m too busy today, so I’ll do it tomorrow.” Just by writing this story I have realized how many times in my life I have said to myself “I’ll do it tomorrow” , how many times I have made excuses to do it tomorrow. And the truth is that I never ended up doing those things. So today I’m doing something that I would not normally do. Something that is way out of my comfort zone. Today I’m writing my success story for other people to read. All my life I have been afraid of what other people think of me and what I say. I have always been too afraid to speak up or add my comment to a conversation. I remember when I was at school, so many times I knew the answer but I was to afraid to shout it out because I thought “what if I’m wrong” and then someone else would shout it out and they would get “rewarded”. I have missed too many opportunities because I have been too afraid to speak up or do something about it. When I think back I see how stupid it is to care what other people think. Today I do not care what other people think of me. I’m slowly starting to open up. This alone is a huge success for me and a starting point to further my success. I could not have started my success story today without Hannes` Mentoring Course. And even more so I could not have done it without reading the books written by Robert Kiyosaki. Reading Robert’s books has helped me open my mind to see what I could not see before and because of this I went in search of ways to invest in myself and that is how I found Hannes Dreyer, his courses and mentoring program. So I would like to thank these two great Mentors as they have made this a turning point in my life. I hope this inspires others like me who are afraid of what others may think of them. Life is too short. We have all heard the phase “Think out of the box”. What I think this means to people like me who have been hiding in the box is: “First get out of the box and then it will be easy to think.
